Frequently Asked Questions

How do I apply for financial aid?

If you are a US Citizen or Permanent Resident you must complete and submit all of the following:
-A Juilliard Financial Aid Application
-Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA) or FASFA renewal
-Signed copies of student and parent (see note) tax returns
-A brief resume or biography

If you are an International Student you must complete and submit all of the following:
-A Juilliard Financial Aid Application
-The Juilliard School International Student Supplement
-Tax return or salary documentation for student and parent (see note)
-A brief resume or biography Note: If you received more than $750 from your parents in any form (such as tuition payments, loans, gifts), you must provide their information even if you consider yourself to be independent.

What is the Juilliard School FASFA code?

When are Financial Aid applications due?
Completed applications for new students are due March 1. Completed applications for returning students are due April 1. FASFA forms should be submitted at least three weeks before the deadlines listed above. Please note that if the student is auditioning for a new program the application is due March 1.

Do you have to re-apply for financial each year?
Yes, you must re-submit all the necessary forms by the due date each year that you want to receive financial aid. Lateness may result in loss of all or part of scholarship assistance.

Is there merit based financial aid available?
Financial Aid includes scholarship, grants, loan and work-study. All scholarships are based on merit and need; therefore all forms must be submitted. For more information please try the following links!
